IFL fulfils its client language
requirements across many fields and domains. Technology
or volume not withstanding, we translate everything from
simple documentation to complex software localization.
Industry resourcing portals offer easy access to Argentina
based translators or but
finding translators is only a small part of the process.
In order to select its translators, IFL uses online
personnel selection resources, a complex multi-componential
test, interview and a psychological testing process.
Our linguistic teams specialize in Spanish (all varianrs) and Brazilian Portuguese
and are grouped according to the distinct verticals
of our clients' market needs: IT, Finance, Mechanics
and Life Sciences. |

Internal
expertise and capacity |
 |
Our in-house language teams
are formally grouped according to their translation
domain specialization. : |
 |
|
 |
The team is structured hierarchically
based on skills and experience, giving team members
a chance to develop within/out with of their grade as
their technical and translation skills improve.
Each team is managed by a Team Leader and/or Senior
Team Leader depending upon the number of employees in
the team. He/she supervises staff development
in translation seniority, setting annual goals and evaluating
performance via training and project sampling. |
 |
External
capacity |
 |
In order to
process large volumes of content, IFL also selects,
tests and hires external translators, carefully classified
in line with their experience, infrastructure and technical
abilities. External translators receive structured feedback
on every project from the IFL internal team and a six
monthly report from Team Leaders which includes comments
on their performance, strengths and areas for improvement
based on sample evaluations from the work they have
carried out. Evaluations cover terminology, writing
style, use of reference material, translation accuracy
and general translation quality. |

In conjunction with the top
universities in Buenos Aires IFL operates a translation
internship program. As well as lecturing at such on
technical translation and computerized translation tool
usage IFL has agreements with these major universities
to accept translation students who, after graduation,
have the potential to be fully employed as in-house
team members. |
